Partnership Emotes

So after a year we are finally there, Twitch Partnership. From one long rough journey into a whole other kind of journey.

First thing we are facing as a community is the choices regarding vajbEmotes then. The grim reality is that we won't have too many as we're very small even if growth is something to aim for so we need to choose carefully. ;-)

This is how it looks on Twitch in terms of when you get how many emotes.

Subs / Maximum Channel Emotes
0 2
25 4
50 6
100 8
250 10
500 15
1,000 20
2,000 25
3,000 30
4,000 35
5,000 40
6,000 45
7,000 50

So we had two to start with and we should probably hit two more shortly. Looking at this in a realistic way we can probably with some luck hit 50 for a total of six emotes. 100 Is a stretch for a good while I'd say.

vajbHeart/Love / vajbHype
Since everything now is connected to subs when it's growth more or less, I want to dedicate these two first emotes to a couple of classics. A Heart-emote & some form of Hype-emote since that fits well together with alot of things to twitch. All from greeting new subs, thanking them for joining our family of lost vikings here, to hyping or liking something on twitch.

After that though, it's open for discussion what to get. The tricky part now is that it seems that we can't change the actual emote NAME but we can upload a new emote IMAGE if we want to change something.

These emotes will not be racing specific, as we play alot of games and emotes should be of good use to anyone who subs.

We also need to get in touch with someone who can create these, as I suck, really bad at drawing. :)

As far as the rules for Emotes goes:
  1. You must upload the image in three different sizes: 18 x 18px, 36 x 36px, and 72 x 72px
  2. The image must be uploaded in the PNG format
  3. The image must have a transparent background
  4. The file size cannot exceed 25kb

So, for these next 2, maybe 4 if we're lucky, suggestions? If someone is pro at drawing and can whoop these up fast I'm all ears!

Alright, we've found ourself a designer that's taken us on, thanks to Hatward.

A heart, a hype-viking and a very rip'ed viking in the works, ready by probably wednesday, then 1-2 days for approval by twitch.

vajbHype, vajbRip, what should we call the heart?

Also, since we're one sub away from 50, what other three emotes would be nice.

Have in mind that the next two emotes are added at 100 subs and it's unlikely we'll hit that number anytime soon so think carefully what we'd use the most in both Dirt Rally and other games.

Aight, so an update. First three emotes has landed.

Now we gotta decide if we're pleased and then figure out what to use for the remaining three.

IMO the heart is a bit small and would be better in red.
I like the RIP bit maybe lighten up the grey so the RIP stands out more. For some reason I have the image of an okd battle axe leaning against it as well.
Hype is a bit hard to read, and you seem to have grown a fat beard. Could just be that its on black rather than white background. Could you show then on a white background as well?

Hope that helps ..
